Was planning on going to rotomahana in the near future for a look and fish did know there were a few issues the access and eating fish but didn't know details so emailed fish n game . Surprised by price of access and only allowable through winter .Have another plan will let you know how it goes thought id post email incase some one else intrested . cheers

Yeah, keep me informed bud! I was going to start over rotorua ways, but may just keep to waikato hydro dams!

From memory the permit fee is for all access for year not $50 per site per year.

That said quite a few years since I paid for one of those permits.
