Hey guys

I have entered this race in the sit on top 4m+ class. Would be awesome to get the club in on it and put in a team. Would be a great day for a 23km paddle down the river :rofl: with prizes for the first team to have four members back and lots of spot prizes to. Here's the link if anyone is interested http://www.theboatshed.net.nz/pagefiles ... ntry13.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cheers arnie

Thanks Arnie. Was good to meet you last night.
As Arnie has stated the Waikato Kayak Fishing Club will have a team in for this event tahnks to Arnies suggestion. He will be the point of contact for any members that want to come along and have not already pur their hand up.

Any other clubs that fancy a day of banjo plucking and 6 fingered tomfoolery should head down and show us what they are made of if they are not scared. I am looking towards East Auckland in particular :lol: . Pretty sure we could get something in the way of a cup or shield if there is interest in this from other kayak fishing clubs. Forget about team obselete and look out for team webbed feet.

I'll say 90% in at this stage. I'll have to confirm work and other commitments nearer the time.

I just received a email back from the boat shed so if your interested in having a teams race have a read.

Hi Arnie ,We are having a corporate doubles competition this year,you
could enter a group in this section ,we are providing a fleet of Barracuda
doubles to hire so everyone is in the same type of kayak ,its $50 per double
(half normal price ) If you want a separate teams section we could create
something if theres enough interest .Let me know .Cheers Richard
