I have been up to my usual no good antics over winter, trialing a few different reels to see just how fit for the task they are. this will be updated as the season progresses in both a kayaking and boating sense.

Mental have you worked out a way to make them come across to show on the forum yet :P ?

Yeah it's certainly not a light weight reel. It has had a couple of revision's from the original one but the weight factor hasn't changed. That said I have spent a few full days out there fishing with it matched to the veritas and it's not something that has stood out as a problem.

Look forward to the updates, I reckon Penn sort of lost their way a little or maybe it was just all the other choices that came along...

It's definitely been a little but of a restructure over the last 2 decades for them. they sort of went from number 1 to number none for a while. They have some very cool stuff out and coming out I.E. the clash etc ...

Nice review Mike. I reckon these feel awesome. Yea heavy relative to other reels but still not a heavy thing. Will be my next softbait reel.
