Thought I'd start a thread to let you know that we will have some prizes to give away at the meetup, the prizes will be given out on a prize draw basis, i.e. all prizes on a table, you all have a number, we pull numbers out of a hat, your number is pulled to choose something from the table, you draw the next number etc etc

Prize Sponsors
Mission Kayaking - PFD & accessories
Ocean Kayak - Kayak Fishing Accessories
Fishing Coast to Coast - Magazines
Slam Softbaits - Products from the Slam and Bite Time Baits range of products
Tagit - "stuff"
Canoe and Kayak - Fish Bag - custom made for your kayak (x2)

If anyone else out there would like to supply any products etc to give away give me a shout.

Cheers, Mental

Do you have to be a member of KFNZ to be in the draw?

No I suppose not, but you do have to be there and have fished on the day at least, I assume you mean your better half who of course qualifies...

Jennie's a member so no worries there.
I think if you front up on the day, fish as part of the event and stay around for a few beers and the prizes, you should be in the draw, even if you are not a member. It's more about being social.

I suppose there could be some of the lurkers (readers) that visit the site turn up... There are around 3,000 individuals who visit this site on a monthly basis and only 380 of us are registered...

Is that 3000 individuals, or 300 visits from non logged in people?
Big difference...
Still a good number though

No that's unique visitors over the last thirty days... total visits by the 3,000 unique individuals is just under 10,000 visits... There are a LOT of people who just come to read the site, you only need to register for posting so you can ask/answer questions, enter the comp, etc and you can tell they keep coming back because of those 3,000 unique visitors only 25% (750) of then have never been here before... Therefore 2,250 of us have been here before, of that 2,250, 380 of us are registered so that means that 1,870 of our visitors have been here at least once before but are not registered....

Don't you just love statistics :)

I hope like hell all 3,000 don't turn up at Martins Bay though 'cause my bag of 50 sausages won't go very far...!
