I just got emailed this by the camp manager, wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the camp rules.
Notes of importance

* Check out is 10.00am on the day of departure.
* There is no entry or exit between 10.00pm and 6.30am. Gates can only be opened in an emergency.

* Trailers (at Manager’s discretion) can be stored on site providing car, tent and trailer all fit on site, if not to be parked in reserve.
* Noise – after 10.30pm general conversation must be maintained at a minimal level. Talking softly and laughter may disturb your neighbours. If there is excess noise please inform the office.
* Please keep to the 10km speed limit, there are lots of children in the camp, some on bikes.
* Bikes are permitted in certain areas of the camp for children 8 and under at the Manager’s discretion. Children riding bikes must wear helmets at all times.

* Please rinse sand off at beach showers.

Treat one another kindly, be happy and enjoy your stay.

sounds like stalag 7  i want to be on the water before the suns out of bed.

One vehicle is permitted per site provided that it can be accommodated totally within the site boundaries. makes sharing hard?

there is no entry or exit between 10.00pm and 6.30am this could make a change of venue hard for an early morning fish

Funny you should say that glint,
I found myself reading them with a cheap German accent.
Spoke with the Manager guy when I booked my accommodation and he seemed like a very nice guy.
I'm sure it will be fine.

Im sure they are just a bit worried about a "group" of fishos coming to stay, I heard they have had problems there before.
Likewise I had a long conversation with them on the phone and they seem nice, as long as we dont trash the place we should be fine.
That being said the 6.30 start sounds a little controlling.
Im having visions of a load of kayakers lining up at the gate, engines reving....

for those who have stayed there before, do we actually need to use the gates in the morning? isnt the campsite "Beach front"?

As beach front as you get 8-)

If the forecasters are right though it might be better looking elsewhere. They have a swipe access system on the gate so I guess they just shut it down between those times :(

There is a big carpark on the outside of the campsite locked area that you could park the car with Yak if you wanted to.

Would get the point across nicely though, if the Manager shuffled across his kitchen in his dressing gown and bunny slippers, cup of coffee and ciggy in hand, and drew back the blinds to a view of a convoy of cars with yaks all sitting there waiting quietly for the gate to open

Hell, I'd want to be ON the water at 0630.

Sorry guys....
Hi Jason
The gates cannot be opened before 6.30am. However you can park your cars outside the office and walk out of the camp to your cars if you need to start before 6.30am. We have to consider other campers who do not want to be disturbed that early.

Kind regards

Personally Im not that keen to leav my car full of fishing gear and a kayak out on the road, so ill be at the gate at 6.30.
If everyone is in the same boat then why dont we meet up at 6am ish, and we can go through where everyone is fishing / have a bit of a brief, then get into it at 6.30 start.

We should also set a weigh in time, and basically anything you do between the two times is up to you, fish where you want ect, as long as you are back for weigh in.
(whish was the original plan)

Well we are there for the whole day anyway so looks like we can have a lie in till 6:00 :)

Anyone keen on getting some fresh bait should be able to pick up some Piper off the beach if you have a net...

They can't stop us fishing too early

(yep sorry guys - we'll be looking for a different base next year me thinks but then again if the weather had been perfect we'd all be launching right outside the tents...)
