Well I suppose I've used the FishFinder about 3 hrs and the battery is still over 12v
But then it's a Humminbird, older, black and white, non GPS, one.
Maybe the Humminbird is frugal, not having much in the way of sophistication

Yeah, Helix 7 is humminbird as well, but with GPS and 7" screen.
I think 12V is only like 20-40% charge?
Don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but I suspect your battery's not going to last very long. Anyway, I do 6+ hour stretches on the water and then a 9AH battery takes strain with this Helix 7.

In case anyone happened to read that completely off-topic blog post of mine, I lasted 7 days on the water fast and managed to lose 9.7kgs. Not a bad start to the year!!
