I'm probably the only who would(or ever will ) notice the small details in ads on TV. But the current legesea (probably spelt wrong)ad features a father n son fishing on lake waikaremoana. The ad goes on about trawling n fish dumping and shows pics of snapperfish etc. Surely if on a lake he should be on about declining water quality, not sustainability. ...

Not the first group to use completely unrelated emotive images to push a point of view or agenda... :?

I've canned my fishing mag sub because (among other lapses) it has become too much like a mouthpiece for legasea.

I realise they have a point of view but IMHO they lack balance and therefore have limited credibility.

I think the commercial and recreational sectors have more in common the dividing. I have foot in both camps (sort of), so I suspect I can see more sides of the argument than most.

But IMHO the last thing legasea want is collaboration.

It's the usual activist syndrome where you only get contributions if you are 'fighting' someone so solutions or amicable arrangements are bad for revenue.

Yes I'm cynical, but it's cynicism built on experience.
