Help please! My cursor has a mind of its own and is making using the puter near on impossible. It periodically jumps up to the task bar and closes/opens other sites. Or does other ramdom stuff.
At first I thought the batterys were fading so swapped them out, then thought the mouse may be faulty so unplugged that (touch screen). Then I thought maybe a bug so did a restore but still not fixed.
I am thinking of wiping it back to factory settings but I am also thinking it may be a fault. Any suggestion's??

Do you have flight controller joystick plugged into the computer. Some of them have a mouse feature on them.

I had one that caused my mouse to constantly scroll to the edge of the screen, and I found it was the deadzone on the flight controller been to small that was causing it.

If it's still doing it after you have unplugged the mouse then may be its a fault in the touch screen, are you able to disable the touch screen? I have seen something similar with a touchscreen pc before...

Had this happen at work once..... thought the computer had been hacked as all sorts of files started opening at random..

Sounds bizarre, but it was the guy in the next office who had started using a wireless mouse and somehow whenever he did something on his computer, the same thing happened on the computer in the office next door !
