Nice idea for a kayak fishing competition

Got this thought from a YouTube video. First one back to the beach with a single fish of a designated species (obviously legal size), wins plus second and third places. Adds a time and tactics element. Snapper would be the ideal for the North Island, but it could be whatever.


Btw, I've subscribed to this guy's videos and he just did a few as a visitor to NZ.

I quite like that idea.

Monte Carlo start from the beach would generate some entertainment for spouses and partners anyway, The video could rival the SA surfski launch carnage on YouTube
