Good luck to all who are doing this comp, I've done it once (or was it twice?) and a very well run comp, another comp like the Taranaki one that is run by a fishing club committee, it's not a commercial money making scheme and it shows, good one guys and all the best for the comp
Phoenix Kayaks - Hornet
Stealth - Evolution 465
Ramco - Fishmaster 580 My BIG kayak!
...and the countless other kayaks I've owned

Okay less than 24 hours to enter,
Any where in fishing boundaries okay won't be harbour only, EAST looking real good, but west still fish able once over surf zone, will have fill update of weather and swell/ beach breaks at briefing to help out those from out of town, may even tell you where " allgood" will be  May be not that far.

If you haven't entered yet it's not to late.

See you at the fishing club, registration from 545pm , briefing at 700 pm

Things are falling into place, swell is dropping and looking good along most of the coastline.
Prize table set up and waiting for registration and late entries to roll in at 545pm. Yes you can still enter.

What an excellent comp this was and a great bunch of people who attended. :y:

The nice thing was this is its all about the sport which showed with over 70 making the effort.

There where heaps of spot prizes with most getting something. The best thing for me was seeing a young angler (unknown) picking up some prizes for the best fish well done that boy.

It was really awesome conditions this year and enjoyed fishing this area as well as catching up with everyone.

Will be back next year and a big congrats to the club for putting on a top class well organised event.
If you haven't been to this one I highly recommend it.

Well what a fantastic event this year with great weather , prizes , fishing and company !
Thanks to everyone at the club and all the sponsers for all the great prizes .
I fished down the coast and had a great time with plenty of Snapper up to 2kg , Gurnard , Kahawai , Kingfish and of course the inevitable large Shark making his mark too .
Ive fished this comp for the last 5 years straight and will no doubt be back again next year !
