Only small break on beach this morning, oily sea which made it easy to spot the Mako that set up camp in my cube trail,
Heaps of Kahawai, kept two for dinner and one fat Trevally.
Only got one 270 mm snapper (released) before mako turned up and then nothing else.

I'd be keen to come along next time. I've only come in on the beach couple times successfully would be good if someone can give me a few pointers on beach landing.

Well had fun day out swell was up so the 3 that got out took a few over the top getting out. fish where on the bite (17m)ended up with 7snapper 38to 58cm loads of kahawai up to 3kg and few rat kingies. so all good  Now getting back in the fun begins I said the swell was up 1st dude did ok till bout nearly there 1st turtle. then number 2.while sitting waiting counting waves watched from the back, all I good see was the back end of the 4.3 was standing upright while he was making his way down the face :tmi: his yak was waiting for him as he swum in to the shore. Now me f**k well did prob the best only turtled right on the beach  But wait when loading me yak bloody hell where's my rudder. bloody hell that last wave had the last laugh. So after another Viking rudder blade if someone has one for sale?

Nice score with the fish. Thought the swell was going to be up so I played it safe and went out off kohi point. No snaps but heaps of kahawai and small kingis.
