Hey guys,

I've just started making my own fresh mozzarella - don't know why - but anyway, my 2nd try tonight was BLOODY AWESOME! Thankfully I had split it into 2 bit, and only started the first ball. Was gone in 4 minutes. SOOO much different to the bought crap from the store.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any recipes or ideas on how I can use this cheese with fish??

Btw, this is it part way through being eaten. Was trying it on crackers with different flavours ;)

No cheese making kit. I had everything bar 1 ingredient, which was easy enough to get.

Sounds nice. Although, when fresh like this, it's too soft to grate. Would need to refridgerate it to harden it first.

great, an home mozzarella mader outside Italy

You can make a fresh salad with tuna, mozzarella, fresh tomatoes (cut in cubes) extra virgin oil and salt.

you can use the mix also as a sauce for cool pasta. It is one of our best dishes in summer when is preferable do not use stoves!!!!

Nice job.

Real easy to make if you take the time and pay attention to detail. Similar to the process for Feta just a bit quicker. My favourite use is to make a bread dough for Pizza. Tin of toms reduced with Garlic, sugar and Oregano as a sauce, Mozzarella or Feta, Anchovies and Black olives. Can't beat it. Sometimes just drop an egg on top for the last 3-4 minutes of cooking. Yum.

Oh damn now thats a good idea. I might have to let it 'set' in the fridge before hand though, cause when real fresh it's pretty soft.

Making a 1 or 2 a week now. Did my first one with silvertop milk, and got a little more cheese than dark blue. SOOO much tastier than the bought stuff

Try a fish pie, use a white fish, so KY or similar, and sprinkle breadcrumbs and cheese on top :)
