fishfinder & worm beds

do worm beds show up on a ff, if so, what do you look for

Seriously, I have half a dozen or so spots that almost guarantee a snapper regardless of the tide or time of day. These spots have no distinguishing features on the sounder, they just look like sand. I can't say for sure, but I assume they are worm/shellfish beds.

Buggar, thats what I thought it might be

Met a local yesterday in the inner waitemata harbour, we traded some fishing spots at the beach
He mentioned in a general area "over there" a worm bed, go there, easy as fishing

Sweet, with mega side imaging on my FF, should be easy to suss out me thinks..... not so it seems....buggar

My mate who has $10k of sounder on his boat recons he can pick up a scallop on the sea bed. I call bullshit :rofl:
