I had a little trouble with the spade connectors corroding at the end of my fish finder power lead. They did 18 months, so not too bad. The battery terminals are fine. I have introduced an SAE connector in to the circuit and replaced the spade connectors. This time I soldered the connectors to the battery terminal in the hope that it will make them last a little longer. Any other thoughts?

I use the Bullet connectors from Jaycar.. solder directly to the battery and then use liquid electrical tape ( also from Jaycar) and then used lanocote grease on the bullet connectors. Never had an issue.... only thing is that you have to use the opposing bullet connectors on your FF power lead and on your battery charger
