With 2 kayaks and only 1 fishfinder with GPS I have started using my phone loaded with Navionics as a GPS chart.

Navionics Sonarcharts has been around for a while but I'm not sure many are using them to find structure and drop-offs. The Sonarcharts are based on user data that then provides a chart with greater detail. I can't afford to update my Navionics Gold card with this data so have started using the phone and the GPS side by side to find potential spots.

I have taken a few screen shots from my phone so show what the difference is and had the one with less detail is typical of what I have on my Gold card. The location is Wellington Rock off Army Bay as a lot of people are familiar with it.

Does anyone know a "economic" way to get these updated to a Gold card?
