Replacement for Oakura:

Oakura - Whangaruru Beachfront Camp
09 433 6806.
It is at the end of the road, over the hill. They have tent sites and a few motel units.
Otherwise, there are heaps of holiday homes available in Oakura, some at really reasonable prices.

Here is another reccommended by a non club member on the forum as an alternative to Taupo Bay:
Here's another beachfront camp on the southern side of Whangaroa Harbour, good beach and can usually find a sheltered launch on the eastern end as it's sheltered by several reefs and islands - 20min paddle from Stevensons Island which has some very tasty bluewater reefs on the Eastern side :D
