All the best for this one, folks. I won't be making it, I think, with boat comps clashing.

But, just to whet your appetites, I cannot recall catching so many big snapper in the Bay of Islands at this time of year before. I usually have a lull in catching the big guys from mid-January through to late April or early May; but March 2013 so far has just been stunning.

Yeah, dinghy mainly, since Nick's been chasing marlin and kingies in the Stabi.

Put back 84 and 88cm snaps on Saturday morning, kept a 74 and four big kahawai.

The gravlax was and is just wonderful, and we've still not touched the rest.

Cheers PJ, whilst I do not wish to hi-jack this thread, I would be most appreciative of comments on the other packages and their contents (sounds bloody fishy to anyone I know  ) as I am finalising material for an article. PM me if you think best but I am happy to share comments with forum members.

Cheers

So does that mean that myself and Wetass do not need to bring any food up for Sat night and we get a cray each. Think there is 4 of us camping sat so all that are, suggest you bring your own steak/meat for the BBQ which I will pickup from FCO on Thursday. Anyone local got a spare set of foam cradles I can borrow so I can put Wetass's yak on my trailer frame. I gave away an old pair last week andonly got one set left-bugger!
