Hi All

EAKFC Club Night is this Wednesday and we have Justin from Reel Heaven coming in to show us how to strip down a fixed spool reel and get it back together without having bits left over!!! This will be great to see as we all know what salt does to our favorite toys. Nothing worse than turning up to your fishing spot and the handle doesn't turn or the drag is stuck.

Justin was a big hit last time, and we basically ran out of time with all the questions, so see you all there for a 7pm start next Wednesday 7th, usual place.

Thanks to Justin for the demo and chat last night. Learnt some good stuff.

Won't be throwing away my stradics, but good to hear some well though opinions on the topic.

I've been using both spin and baitcast reels for a little while now, and have decided to source an Abu 5500C3 (thats the one he was looking at right??). Sweden made. Would be as a light backup set, with a new (to be purchased) klabs rod.

What would the comparable sizes be? And would it be worth looking at the 4600?

I've got two 4601 C3's (4601 is the lefty version of the 4600).
One with 10lb and one with 20lb.
They are my main softbait reels now.
