I've now got a new kayak, replacing the old and busted ( 2 months ) So will be up for the next trip. Now its yellow. And I've done some better placement of stuff.

Went well, the wind picked up a bit more than expected around 10am but no issues.

We had around 15 yaks on the water and I think most people caught fish, biggest was 2.8kg.

Nice to hear. anyone get anything that wasnt snapper ?

I'm keen on catching gurnard now after i chucked a very decent sized one back thinking it was hapuka.

Yeah I am pretty sure someone got some Gurnard, didn't weigh them in though.

cool. Well, to the rest of yer, I'm in akl this weekend so lemmie know if you want fishing buddies. I'm going to be on the prowl all over.... depending on wherever the nice, glassy flat water is.

Yeah it was great until the wind picked up a bit. Snapper were biting, so can't really complain :y:

yep picked up 3 gurnard at omana , bit of a surprise , they wherent a great size only kept 1 but had a nice taste to the fillet
