Free Diving from Kayak

Hi guys and gals.

Im getting into spear fishing and want to dive from my kayak. I was wondering if anyone on here does the same and could pass on any knowledge or advice.

Yep I do a fair bit, not too much different to free diving off a boat but I suggest that you dont try to put yr wetsuit on while on the water.
I usually just anchor the kayak but at times will two it along attached to my float line...

Already subscribed mate, I did not notice the diving vids.
I will have another look through your posts and study up.

I've done a little from a viking 2+1. Lessons learned: -

Many of the cheaper wetsuits are not made with paddling in mind. They are excellent at removing skin form the underarm area. Choose carefully.

Make sure the anchor is holding really well - I swim down the warp and dig it in.

Put a dive flag on the kayak - some boaties make a sport of passing close to kayaks ...

Yep Ive had a few run ins with boaties trying to run or tip me over. Funny bit is they seem taken aback when I confront them on shore.
Good idea about the anchor rope I will make it a habit.
