Plan ta try Taiharuru Reef (lat=-35.708157, lon=174.555466) tomorrow. Have just been told that I can have the Night Off from work (sweet), so will take the Yak out tomorrow. Weather is looking ok. Haven't done Taiharuru Reef before, but have heard good things about it. Plan ta be on the water by 8am for a Fish and Snork. Will have the VHF on Ch8 as "The Yak" if ya wanted ta join me. Mobile is 0274534020 but will have that off once I leave the car.

Found it. Weather was ok to start with but nothing but baby Snap. Score nil on the Softies, but the squid was going. Caught North Is. again so had to get wet. Saw my bait problem, too many bloody Bikies. Looked a bit bare down there compared ta Lizie Reef, but did come across Blue Maumau Schooling, so the was the bait replaced. Was getting rough by Midday. The wind had picked-up with the odd shower coming though. Time ta Run Away Bravely. Back on shore & load by 2pm, tired & cold. Put the car heater on full and back home for a hot bath. Warmed up now. Had a good paddle, but not much ta show for it.
Look forward ta checking it out again some other day.

Aye. Was a last minute call ta go fish'n as Work rung 10pm ta say I could have the night shift off. Off on Sunday too, but glad I went out today. Weather is supposed ta be getting worse tomorrow, as it was McGregor's Bay looked rough when I looked at it on the way Back.
Must get some Cellphone numbers of ya Local Dudes so I can drop a text next time. A fisher find would have been handy ;)
