Hi All,

Planning a trip out from Tapuaetahi, Bay of Islands, on Thurs 8/1
Expected to meet at 0600, for a 0630 launch, return to shore at around 1500hrs(ish)

You'll need to make contact with me before 2100Hrs Wed 7th if you're planning on turning up, as access is via locked gate.(Contact Details in my Profile)

This is good blue ocean water within easy reach (30m depth at only 600m offshore in places).
Lots of reefs, pins and wash to fish within easy distances.

Remember, only access to this coast is via private road and is a 30km hike by boat from the nearest ramp, so it's a rare opportunity to easily explore a very fishy patch of water (see below 8-) )

Any chance you are going to revisit Purerua Peninsula again anytime soon HLD? I have had a little bit of experience a number of years ago with Lion Rock and the good snapper from this area.

Yeah, and not sure if the family who lived up that way are still there but they had some shearers quarters available on their farm that wasnt too far from there. Patersons I think their name was (HLD may know)

;) No worries guys.
I'm one of the lucky few with the right contacts, so I like to keep it to no more than two yaks (total) per trip i.e. Me + 1, to avoid soiling the nest as it were.

If you're heading up this way, drop me a line and I'll see what can be arranged.

...You're 18 months late Chris  Tis a Thread from the Dead.
