I've got the Keri half marathon on the 21st, and will exist only as a prone figure going "Owww..." on the Sunday.

The Northland Yak club have a trip out of Toots planned for the 29th, so could be good for a big meet & greet ?

ok,
Moving the date to Saturday 28th with possible overnight stay and meeting/fishing with the Northland club on the Sunday?
How does that suit?
Mental: please count your children and make a note of their birthdays. ;)

Yep I wonder if somewhere else might be the go, only because as we found last time, if you can't get out of the harbour then the fishing's pretty sucky...

HLD any suggestions?

Somewhere with a local campground that has a few fishing options available depending on the weather direction..

Bland Bay, Rawhiti, Matauri Bay/Whangaroa or Cape Karikari all offer choice of sheltered waters with camping facilities, but a considerable hike from town...

Hokianga gives access to Monsters if the sea is kind, but stuck in a harbour again if the weather doesn't play fair.

Mimiwhangata another option, I think there's basic camping there - Not sure.

After that you start getting down towards Kawau again.

Here's part of my marks database if you want some ideas...

I'm happy to stick with Tutukaka if we want, I know where there WAS a big fish... no I won't post a picture of it unless you want me to...?

So which date works best for most? 21st or 28th?

Ill check dates with the boss tonight.
Im up for toots again, but if the weather looks like it will pack in again then the harbour isnt realy the best, so im keen to ry elsewhere too.
Maybe we should come up with a few ideas as a backup incase of weather...

I'd be interested. I don't care which date, I don't have any pre-bookings at the moment, though later would be better for my eyes (just had LASIK - don't need glasses anymore :D )
Electronics : its still magic, even when you know how its done.
