Post Ahipara invite!
Since I got told off for not sending out a invite last week here's one for tomorrow, the plan at this stage is to hit shippies at first light and head out towards the ahipara reef looking for kings and albies  please note, that plan could change depending on conditions

Mate, if the plans change completely you are most (and others) welcome to join us on our club trip to Whananaki Sunday, or if you cant make the fishing join us later for the BBQ (1pm) on the beach which is being put up by new club sponsors FCO. Thats www.fco.co.nz in case anyone wants to know who they are.

Cheers

Yeah I think so I don't know how far it is and without my gps I don't even know if i'll find it but if I get close there should be the odd boat out there to mark it or cray pot bouys if I get really close! I will troll lures so might see the odd workup and with a bit of luck get into some tuna on the way out.

The south bank is about 11nm directly east of Ahipara. The north bank is about 14nm north-east of Ahipara.

Good luck with the fishing :y: :y:

Due East and NE from Ahipara, it'd certainly be easier to pitch a tent than paddle a yak ;)

11NM east puts you in Victoria Valley, and 14 NE is roughly the base of Tokerau peninsula :D
