There is a group of us here in Tauranga that fishes weekday evenings / weekends off Papamoa and along the coast - there's no shortage of snapper if you'd like to tag along!

Greetings to all. I'm driving (from Auckland) down to Ohope bay with the family on Saturday and will be there til Monday evening/Tuesday morning. SWMBO has granted permission for the yak to join us (I know I'll pay for it later) . Is there anyone going out on Sunday/Monday that wouldn't mind if I tag along? Or can you tell me where the best place to launch etc. Thanks in advance. Bravo13

Hello GONE2C. Im in Katikati and im keen for evening fishes in the harbour too.
My mate has just bought a kayak also, and we plan to have a mooch around the wharfs.
We have good fishing skills but still learning the way of the kayak
I want to rack up some more time onboard in calm water rather than loosing my mates softbait setup in the surf again!
I hear the fishing is good out through the entrance at 30 meters too?

Cheers,
Shane
