Hi team,

I am travelling to Stanmore Bay tomorrow for a week for a family holiday. I am bringing my yak with me and keen to get fishing. Any hints where I can go. I am staying right beside the Stanmore Bay park so was hoping to launch straight out from there. Do I have to go far in any particular direction to find fish.

Thanks - coming from Napier where the fishing has been less than average looking forward to getting some snapper in the bin. Hope the weather behaves!

Cheers

should be sweet as fishing straight out from there or round the point to the right , and its not a long drive to army bay or shakespeare from there either :y:

You don't need to go far at all.these came from just around the corner from Army Bay a couple of weeks ago.

I went straight out from Stanmore Bay until about 10m but only picked up under were a few small snapper which went back to grow bigger. Going to try Army Bay tomorrow morning, not sure exactly where to go. Any clues?
