From Waikanae GBC. Was working down there that day. Had a look at Te Horo but the surf was coming in hard so decided to go to the tame waters!! It's funny how different the surf can be just a few kms down the line. You been out?

I can't make it tomorrow at Otaki, but I was out yesterday mid to late afternoon as the tide was coming in, quite a drift south to north and straight off the beach south of the surf club and in about 8 metres of water and the snapper are there!!

Was slow to start but used a Shimano Lucanus after trying all other manner of SB and that started to get things going. :!:

Have fun, Cam

Yeah bro me and XL fished in 9m , perfect conditions both got bag limits and a few Kahawai for the smoker , around 930 everything that got sent down got smashed . a few boats out wide had a slow morning but we made sure they knew how our day was going on the VHF. The Otaki Boating club has some very cool members

Well done Dan and Stu!! We had an aweful day at Pukerua Bay. Forecast was 5 knots and calm and sunny. About 10am it turned unpleasant with decent waves swamping the yaks at regular intervals. :x Not a day to be teaching two newbies. Packed it up after 2 hours. Rain set in too, so we got a bit cold- what a summer we are having "yeah right".
Going to make up for it this week!! :y:

Summer didn't arrive in Kapiti this year but have managed a few trips out. This was one of the better ones last
