had a quick fish after work at Pukerua bay last night, caught a few ky and 1 million small blue cod no exaggeration. :)

cant wait for the snapper to show up in numbers, the future of puk bay is looking very bright.

did any one else get out recently?

Well done for getting out, was a lovely couple of days! Would hate to be out there at the mo tho, it sounds nasty outdoors! Hanging out for the warmer water to arrive for sure!

Went out yesterday from Paraparaumu beach caught a number of small KY and a couple of 35cm plus KY. Water temp between 13:5 & 13:8 deg.
Roll on the warmer weather.

Little blues yes i have caught many of them out there but plenty of good Snapper too so i concur roll on the warmer water temp which should bring them in!! (mind you last season i managed four legal blue cod in one outing which was rare) I found fishing over the sand you don't get the blue cod. I just set a burley down with the anchor and wait for the fish to turn up. Good on you for getting out there. I can't wait to hit it again after a 6mth break. Julian
