On the hunt for kayak to start my fishing adventures on. I am a fairly over 6 foot and over 100kg so don't want anything too small. Any recommendations or second hand goodies floating around would be appreciated!

I have a viking profish
FOR SALE $1400
Viking profish 400
comes with
propelz fish bag
Viking tackle pod
Lowerance elite 5 fish finder with Rob fort cover ( no battery)
Rob fort quick release running rig
Tagit hi viz floating nylon drogue
Propelz paddle
Viking deluxe seat with bladder bag added to back
stealth live bait torpedo tube
2x rod tethers
4 railblazer starports

This has been an amazing fishing platform and I believe a great deal for someone to start out with full kit. I thought about adding a rudder to it initially but after paddling it I find that the 400 tracks really well.
only selling as have purchased a stealthImageImageImageImageImageImage

If you're on a tight budget and just getting into the sport, I can recommend an Ocean Kayak Scrambler.

That was my first kayak and I luved it.

160kg max carry weight, and you can pick them up on Trade Me for $400-$600.

Check out Reef Kayaks, supposedly designed with the larger paddler in mind.
Charlie Daily is the bloke to talk to there.

I'm about 6ft and 100kgs. I paddle a Ocean Kayak 4.3 Ultra with no worries. Otherwise the Viking 440 seems to support large lads too. If you can find one of those secondhand and in budget you'd be fine.
