Hi All, I am wanting to get into Kayak fishing so am looking for my first setup. I've been and spoken to the guys at Canoe & Kayak in Auckland who have been really helpful but I'm thinking a new Kayak is probably a bit excessive. Really like the looks of the Viking 400, Mission 390 or 420.
I also went and checked out the guys at Wave Passion.

If anyone has got some packages going including seat, paddle etc please let me know. Current budget for a setup is around $1K ideally.

Thanks and I look forward to getting out on the water!

That’s a good budget. I sold a ocean kayak prowler 13 recently for $1000 including fish finder, battery, drogue, rod holders, net, c tug trolley, anchor.

Hi Jason,

Did you find your first Kayak? I'm selling my Catch 390 just now. This was my first kayak and I'm looking to upgrade to something bigger that I can take my daughter out with me in. It's on Facebook Market place just now, I'm selling it as part of a package with everything you need to get out on the water:

I've been really happy with this, definitely a good entry level fishing kayak.
