I had some interest from someone asking whether I would part with my moulds I used to make my custom Carbon Fibre centre console for Prowler ultra 4.1, However I haven't heard back from them and was wondering if anyone else was interested in the moulds? If so make me an offer. I am trying to 'find' money to save up for a new fishfinder 8)

I would also be happy to share with you the details of the method I used to build the console... doesn't have to be carbon fibre, could do it on the cheap with humble fibreglass and paint afterward (however carbon fibre twill is a lot cheaper from 'Aliexpress' and still good quality).

A lot of time and effort went into making these moulds (and eventual consoIe) and I love it!!! Originally made to use as a live bait tank, but use now more for storing tackle and a whole lot more. Is as brilliant as the ute box and reload concept, easy as to load onto kayak and fits the centre recess like a glove.

N.B.

Some edges of the base mould broke during removal of part (not enough wax and parting film) but this is not a cosmetic part of build and could be easily fixed. May also fit other kayaks that use the same original lid - see pic

Cheers

That's a very cool design well done!

Making these is not my game but FYI JO used the same lid on the Tetra so it may fit that model too if someone is looking at the size of the market etc... Or even smarter look at making a second base for it that would mate to a Prowler 13/4.5 then you'd have a huge market to sell to...

Nice work mate - Is that the same size as the trident 4.3 or is it the narrower ones like the later models are now too? I have a ute box already but have come across a few people who would be keen on one (or something similar).

Not sure how much it would cost you to make another mold of 3 - but could be an option to 'make to order' and fund your new fish finder that way also.

I believe the 4.3 has the wider recess that is designed for the reversible lid? (I think). If I had the time to make them to order I would but I guess I'm just putting it out there after I had an earlier inquiry. Cheers

Hi mate

Yeah that was me that PM'd you about the moulds. Not sure if they are the right fit for my 4.5 elite, I may have to make my own. I have a couple of different ideas, I want to retain the drink holder, and because I am using a thru-hull (silicon mounted) transducer, I want to utilise the transducer scupper as the pickup for the pump.

I like the starports on the top, I want to get rid of my triple railblaza thing and just use a single rodholder up in the factory starport, moving the sounder back to the top of the livie tank like you have done.

Did you end up running the pump off the same battery as the FF? I wonder if I will end up with interference from the pump.

Cheers
Patrick
