FOUND ONE - THX.

Just wondering if there are any Viking Reloads for sale around the Auckland area?

(Or recommendations from experienced yak fishers as I'm fairly new).

Thanks.

what are you looking at exactly, just the reload, paddle and seat? how much is your budget? Viking generally have some factory seconds, which are brand new kayaks with a slight cosmetic defect, that they don't want to put on the retail shop floor or exported overseas. A really good deal if you have the budget. And they come with the 30 year guarantee that you don't get with second hand kayaks.

Yes I've seen those factory 2nd's listed on TradeMe, but they are all down Taupo way and would cost a fortune to ship to Auckland.

I guess my budget is around $2500, could go higher for a really nice FF and various extras - (I already have a nice paddle though :) )

Kenny, email Viking in Matamata(two hour drive from Auckland if the traffic is good) directly, tell them what you want and they may be able to give you a better deal then the likes of other kayak retailers offer, like a hurricane seat which a retailer like Canoe & Kayak may not be able to offer. and you are dealing with the manufacturer directly. They can also offer you better advice for what you want with your budget.

I bought my factory second reload from Viking in Matamata and their service was really good, I got a running rig, insulated cover and they did all the installation work for me while I was there and got some good advice on the running rig for when I am transporting the kayak on my vehicle.

Everything in the photo - $1800. It's mostly new, not a mark or hole in the tackle pod (yet) :D
