Hi
Looking to start my kayak fishing addiction, wanting to buy a good value kayak but one that I won't grow out of too fast.. budget is a bit limited with young kids but will consider a bit more if its worth it.. Will be for fishing inshore conditions in the Maraetai coast area / Waiheke channel. Will be mainly fishing softbaits/scutes/lures.

Preferred items include: lighter/medium size kayak (4m, <30kG) for ease of transport, storage for trolley, ideally would like a FF too but can fit later. My ideal model I think is a Profish GT but realistically is out of budget.. Have been thinking likely models: OK Prowler13, OK Tetra12, maybe Profish 400..

Thanks!

If you are local to the lower north island I have a Profish 400 fully set up and in good condition i am willing to let go for $1200.

Its my spare for friends and family, but it's not getting much use. Little :swear: don't like winter fishing around Wellington ha

If you can stretch your budget a little bit. There is a really good deal going on an ocean kayak trident 4.3 , complete with everything you could want. Rod an reel, pfd, vhf, c tug etc, $1500 , it’s on Facebook, kayak fishing page.

Yea I'm in Rotorua so a bit hard to do. I'm just hoping it or something similar is available once I've got the money's and have convinced the wife to let me spend it. It's a great offer. :?:

Nope - it's well gone. It was in the NZ Kayak Fishing Group, but deals like that disappear pretty quick. Even I was tempted to buy it, and I already own a Prowler 4.3...
