Sad to see K-Labs stepping down.

Hopefully they'll be back when the water , weather and fishing heat up a bit?

Good luck to all - especially those heading out into the face of the southeasterly this weekend :(

I have a feeling that this month is going to be my month.

I'm going to:

1 - Get out on the water
2 - Bring home a snapper so beautiful it will make you weep.

Thank goodness for daylight savings coming and the possibility of some time to fish (and the fact that my wife may be finishing working Saturdays allowing me the possibility to get out on the occasional one)

Was my day yesterday...went out in the boat for most of the day 11-5.30, 9 fish all around 7-10lb, and my mate nailed a fantastic 20+lb snapper, got to call him to see what it weighs exactly.
I was going to take the yak out and meet him on at spot Hush, but the wind picked up so stuck with the boat as its an hour paddle.
Great day fishing... putting 40cm fish back to live another day.
Snapper getting there row on now! BIG schooling mocha's in 14ft water, great fun.
So I hope to get out there this week in the yak and share a photo of another big snapper, I know there is a few bigger ones hanging around that area as I had a couple of big bust offs.

Cheers, Mental

Still here HLD, just been mad here, and forgot the days, hence late in putting the rod up so missed the cut off, along with only a few more sleeps until a weeks fishing starting Tuesday in the cooks Islands, and just finalizing the design of the new IM6 casting rods which I am sure will look good for the November / December prize all being well with the completion date.

OH well suppose I will start the comp off again.
Went out yesterday for a quick play around the rocks in onetangi bay, lovely day huh! It would have been nice to get out to where I know some Big boys are but nobody seems that keen...I may try track down Aussie Yacker today and see if hes up to it ;) .
between dodging the mass amounts of arrogant boaties and watching Goats fighting on a cliff face I managed to hook into a few average pan snaps that I put back and came home after catching a 3kg 54cm snapper.
Oh I was lucky enough to be paddling past a mate of mine as he dropped his outboard off the back of his dingy :o I just had to laugh when he tried to jump in after it!! 20ft, good luck mate

My camera is stuffed, these are the only two photos out of 9 that are not blurry :x planning on getting a waterproof one so i can take photos on the yak and release them.

Nice fish (erebro. Been too busy finishing gardening projects around home so I can build a good stock pile of brownie points with the wife :D I think it is going to be a great summer this year and plan to be on the water the most of it 8-)

I am looking at an early morning fish this week sometime around a 5.30am start and fish for a couple of hours before work starts to try an score an entry in this months comp ;)
