Name / Username of Angler: Ian / Snakebite1969
Fish Type: Kingfish
Length: 91cm / 18lb
Date/Time of Capture: Sunday March 31st 2013 about 2:00pm
Location of Capture: Islands off Papa Aroha
Type of Lure/Bait used: Caught with squid on a Black Magic Flasher Rig
Comments: (optional): New PB to I thought it was worth a shameless plug for a nice new rod since I caught the Kingfish on a Shimano Eclipse Rod with an Shimano TR200-G Reel spooled with 20 lb mono. It was allot of fun playing the 18lb Kingfish on light gear for it's size and my face really lit up with a huge smile when I got a first glimpse of colour.
