Had a great day out yesterday. My previous personal best was 10lb so you can imagine the smile on my face when these beasts surfaced. The clip below is of the second fish which was the smaller of the two but only just.







This was the first fish caught, Tony pulled anchor to come and take a few memory shots before it was released. Thought about whacking the iki stick and taking it home to show the wife and daughter but couldn't bring myself round to killing it - so back she went.

yep, as we said on the way home - "I have graduated through the Nakiman and Wonderboy school of kayak fishing" full credit to you boys! I hope Ohawe fishes that well again :x ;) oh, you taught me well. Don't need any training on the 2km turtle though - pretty experienced at that :)

Nice fish mate :y: Couple of awesome naki snapps there, well done on the release. That last photo is gold, I feel it should be on the cover of a magazine ;)
