Rod tip is my guess, rod butt and reel down by your thighs, rod tips tucked into the bits of pipe, then when you turtle the rods are protected.

How's that for a guess Nakiman?

Mate, that's a nice collection of pictures you have there. Some nice feeds to be had and alot of fun catching them too no doubt. Nice idea for the rod holders too, I am going to be installing them on my yak as soon as I get the materials, cheers for that :y:

I've been a bit lucky being in the right place at the right time

I thinks it's 9 over 20lb so far (let most of them go) and many more between 10lb and 20lb
I think WB has had 5 or 6 over 20lb as well
We have a very good fishery here and a good variety of fish :rock:

Just need to fatten up our king fish :lol:

The snapper was released and estimated at over 30lb...possibly 32lb plus. The biggest I've seen/caught
