Comments: Weighed somewhere between 17 and 20lb depending on who's scales you used

Comments: (optional) 7 long hours fishing for 1 35cm pannie and then this. Caught in 5meters of water mean fight was going to release him but he had swallowed both 6/0 hooks

Comments: First time squid fishing (with Yakhard and oldwetfish), and first squid. 1/2 was eaten that night, and 1/2 the next morning. Still don't know what I'm doing with the squid, but I've got permission from the wife to go again, so I will learn
Also, next time, dont put my hand there!! You can barly see the squid lol - cheers to Yakhard for the pic

Comments: After over a year on the forum, my first fish I've felt worthy of entering.
Also good to overcome my fear of great depths, having land out of sight and surprised to not have seen a single shark.
A tiring but awesome day on on the water and some awesome hook up's by all.
Getting it to you lap is one thing but to subdue it and keep one of this size and stay on board is another
