Had a day off school today so i decided to make a center console for my yak with ply lying around ,and a door hinge (and a hand from dad) , tomorrow im gonna put a chopping board on it seal it up and paint it , will post the final pics to .

If you haven't got one, suggest a small drain hole (no more than about 5mm)

Nice work mate. Like hld suggested a drain hole or 2 In the corners. My console Is similar. I mde mine removal so that I can load the kayak upside down. Speaking about upside down make sure u have a locking mechanism for the lid, just in case you come across a turtle or 2 :tmi:

I added the drain holes and for the locking mechanism ive used some heavy duty Velcro

Finished it off today , with a spray of black paint I think it turned out good. While i was doing i had a sheet of idk what lying around so i made a insulated cover , not the best finish but will do the job for now :D
