I'm coming back to the fold, sort of...

After camping at Puriri Bay where my boy spent about 10 hours each day playing on his mates' kayaks, we've decided to buy him one of his own. He's only 7 years, but a tall lad who is growing fast! He didn't have too much trouble paddling a small adult kayak.

I'm loathed to blow $200 - 300 on a kids kayak which he will outgrow quickly, so looking for something in the next size bracket. Plus the Mrs has indicated that she'd like to use it for messing around on; luckily she is a dwarf at around 55kg. It would also be a good boat tender for yours truly ;)

Shortlist below. Any comments or thoughts? Buying tomorrow in Auckland. Cheers.

Let's get that Fury towed around by something big. I spied my first 20+kg kingi of the Summer this morning. I'm not sure if it would be you or the kingi bringing the most fury to the fight if you hooked that on the new yak. Either way, I'd love to watch the show.
