Re: Cable/Delaware - 2 trips

Cheers Kerry, yeah he's an innovative bugger that's for sure. The Gulp! tub holders were perfect and a shot of espresso rather welcome near the end of 16 km paddle!

Cable/Delaware - 2 trips

Been a bit busy (read: slack) lately but the return of LRN prompted me to join him on a circumnavigation of Peppin Island Sept 2nd. Was a beaut day although a heavy Easterly made paddling the Northern side of the Island to the Delaware inlet a bit of an effort. Rob caught a Barracoutta and I got my ...

Wow, that must have been quite a sight in person.

Probably not the smartest thing to do but how cool was that! Very gentle and tolerant but could easily have gone badly.

Re: Good Physio in Nelson?

Hope you get that sorted Mike :(

My physio friend is no longer in Nelson but I have a friend that has been treated by Dawn at the Gym physio (Kinzett?) terrace. As well as being recommended as a physio Dawn is an Olympic grade boxer so I'd guess elbows would be right up her alley.

Re: First Trip Out - Nelson 19/04/14

Sounds like my first encounter with the boulder bank. Glad you're alright, knock to the head in water could be nasty, thanks for sharing :y: Cable Bay is beautiful, especially round Peppin, some neat nooks and crannies to explore 8) And welcome to Nelson, few of us about, I'd offer to head out with ...

Re: wanted gun 30-30 Cal

Yep, stand corrected, no 30-30 but still quite a range of calibres. They have a lower profile hammer too than an M94, something to consider if scoping?

If I remember rightly some of the older Winchester models used to eject vertically too.

Pretty sure they do 30-30?

Re: wanted gun 30-30 Cal

+1 for the Rio but if I was going for a second hand job I love the M94 Win. I keep an eye on H&F website Jas, their 2nd hand section has the odd bargain and the guys are great to deal with. I've had a few shipped to Nelson and dealing with a chain store saves the paperwork. 44 Mag is a surprisingly ...
