Cooks Beach, after Iv'e mowed the lawns, repaired the cistern and sorted all the other maintaince problems out. Then hopefully a couple of hours on the briny. Bit of a party at Whangamata I might just have to put my nose into on Friday as well.

Don't know about your own area's, but here, The Enviroment Council helps with the ammo supply if your a real vermin pest control type of person. In my case 22 subs and super's for the Rabbit, Possum and Wallaby pest I have hunted for over the past 15yrs or so.

As soon as I take them off the rock, I hit the underside of them with the base of my knife. Seems to kill them and also tenderise them as well. Yeah I agree don't over cook. Don't be shy on using butter and garlic.

I know what causes it and more importantly how to fix it. I was treated by the best. Goggle Noel Roydhouse. Sadly Noel died a few years ago. Basicly I was diagnoded with this vertigo and tinitus thing. At the time I was working as a Plumber and was banned from Heights, Commercial Diving work Bye bye...

Working everday and night up to the 1st of January and then off to the Bach at cooks till the 15th of Jan. Sadly have to take pager, comms and laptop with me. The price to pay for a little bit of freedom, c'est la vie.

I stick the rod in my holder and just do the odd soft paddle to feep the line straight. My rod faces forward in the holder and with just the odd adjustment to the depth I don't touch it. Agree about the Grey ghost and Ginger Mick, both top flies. I tie my own traces and don't use swivels, depends on...

It is a really good way to eat trout.Did it last year and worth while. Correct much better than Salmon and Tuna. There is a real danger of salmonella poisoning if not done correctly though. The crowds are thinning out ,just about time to hit the water and go for a jig in front of my place.

Fished from Cooks and Hahei on Wednesday arvo and Thursday mid day. Wednesdsay was brillant 8 Snaps 1 was around 14lb couple of big Terakihi and some Trevs. Thursday similar catch as Wedneasday but only pannies. Interesting no Kahawai. 90ft deepth.
