Re: Beach combing driftwood sculptures-

I worked part time 20yrs on and off for Greenfield, outfalls, Hydro's and salvage. When Pop sold, I stopped doing major stuff, but I still do the odd jobs for my own clients.

I bet you don't miss those days PS, tethered to the Dive Boat by your umbilical whilst you scrape mussels and oyster's of the diffusers. All in zero viz whilst also combatting very large Conger eel's and other imaginary monsters of the deep.

Re: Caught some Low lifes today

It would of been the hardest brand of clamp to remove I would of thought, takes nearly 4 minutes to put the bloody thing on. We believe they used cordless tools i.e grinder or metal saw of some kind. Apparently this is just the tip of the Ice burg. More to follow after the court case is finished.

Re: End of trout fishing season...

My house is situated as you come down the hill to Boatshed Bay, and I have a couple of Sheds there. If I'm kayaking I usually just fish Boat shed bay or in front of home. Or if in 1 of my boats I often fish Boat Shed Bay or in front of my house, get the hint.

Re: End of trout fishing season...

It's limited to 100 anglers. First prize is usually around $1000. The main prize is a door prize and this is usually an 2.5hp outboard sponsored by Thompson marine, with a second door prize of a Fireplace worth around $2000. The combine prize pool is around $10,000. There is usually around 30 prizes...

Luv the concept keeping in mind that Tarawera , Okataina and Rotoiti will be closed for boat fishing until the1/10/13. But hey there is the stink pond plus Tikitapu and Okareka to play in. I'm keen and will sponsor 1 of my art pieces.

Caught some Low lifes today

Caught some boat(around60k) thieves today. What was really scary and worth considering was the fact, was that it only took them around 4 minutes to remove the wheel clamp and to negotiate a steep driveway. I picked them up on our surveillance systems and the number plate matched the vehicle , which ...

If it's windy what's wrong with sitting in at the mouth of Ohiwa harbour. At least with a line in the water there's always a chance. Also if it's rough do some surf paddling.

Check out NZ Hunting and shooting forum a great bunch of Guys and Gals. They seem to be very helpful to newbies. Whereas me I would say spend some time by yourself and do the yards, and if after awhile you haven't succeeded give up. Just kidding always ready to help someone into the hunting shooting...

Been surfing since I was 7yrs, old now 54, and still surfing a 6'3 and a 9'6 and sup boarding. I also have spent quite a lot of time goat boating (wave ski) , however I still take the time out every once and a while to go and spend some time in the surf with the kayak Prowler 13. Interesting how dif...
