Re: Gulp pack vs tub

Once you buy a pack of SBs - can't you just stick it in the tub with the other assorted SBs? there is no special fragrance, taste, per SB is there?

Welcome! Keep an eye on the weather - and you'll be sweet - she gets a bit blowy in Wgtn and makes for a long hard paddle back onto the Petone beach!

Two questions...

I've a 541 Humminbird fish finder - and recently and stupidly - hooked up the battery pos to neg and neg to pos! Will this have :swear:ed my fish finder? I wasn't able to tell as I also lost a pin which had became corroded and snapped off before launch (pic of where pin was - attached) so launched w...

Re: Lowrance 7 Power Button not working

Hi Sardich,

Did you get this working?

Over the long weekend I had a look under the hood of my sounder and found that the cables were in a pretty sad state so after a touch of solder and some electrical tape - we're all up and running.

Re: Ice box

I've the ice box on my Prowler and it does keep everything cold and stores a lot - but it is heavy and I'm looking at one of those insulated ice bags Rob Fort sells - might make my paddling a little easier.

F.O.M just in.. It appears they don't like crawling over netted material :headbang: :swear: more money down the drain! (for me at least) I see there's a beehive version on TM for $50 / provided how this works I might see if I replace the netting with some DIY No 8 wire. http://www.fishing.net.nz/fis...

New Plymouth - No Go

Hauled my Yak up to my home town - with high expectations - over the xmas break. Unfortunately they were unfounded :( to the glee of the Naki Yakkers I would assume. 3 early morning bursts of fishing off the Yak (off the Breakwater, off Bell Block then again off the Breakwater) and one with the Surf...

Re: Setting a Cray Pot

...cray pot - update... I've currently got the pot soaking in Malt Vinegar and salted water (it was also suggested to sand blast the galvanised frame and use some Hydro-peroxide by some movie set painters down here in Wellywood) although that would not have the desired effect on the mesh rope. watch...
