Good effort and it looks like the investment in technology paid off ... I went out today off Rothesay just to try my new garmin 50s .... No keepers but it's a good machine. Having everything on one screen sure clears the clutter..

Use that kask length gauge ie length should be from ground to arm over your head with fingers just over end of blade. Anything less is dissapointing. You will find paddle is efficient esp in sea kayak and if you get stroke right but if you need to apply gobs of power in a rush IMHO they are not as g...

Actually driving back from shore to City at about 2:30 today I could see 2 distinct work ups under the bridge .... As you say it looked like the harbour was going off today.

oh yes I did enjoy this one .... stuck to slow jig and new penny squiggly tail and got a slow but steady stream of good fish... about 30 mins before weigh in I lost the plastic - I think it got hit then snagged. I made a spool with a handle and have 12 hooks on a pvc tube. Works well neat and tidy. I would put a foto up but cooking dinner tonight so in the indian for takeaways I think the trick is to get all your line on the spool. Backbone and droppers.
