Re: Kayaker rescued

Elite 4 ? presume that means OK prowler elite 4.5 ? Use one myself find it a well built plastic kayak would have to have been something wrong with the hatchs to take on water and have been pretty choppy to . Seems to be one of the biggest dangers for sit ons with them filling with water and not real...

Re: Tips on Buying my first Kayak, what do you think of this one?

Hard to judge hull from photos scuffing and light to medium scratch's ok deeps scratch's you would be rejecting something like 2-3 mm deep better to have someone experienced have a look . If you are a larger person I would recommend a 4 - 4.5 metre length kayak Viking or ocean kayak . Is the seller ...

Re: Disposing of fish carcass at sea

Pretty sure your correct about being measurable above high tide mark , never heard of anyone being fined for that offence but has probably happened . Any experienced fishery officer could look at your fillets and have a fair idea if the fish was legal but you would probably warn you . I like to keep...

Re: Best Rod & Reel brand(s).

Ive mainly stuck to shimano or daiwa but would buy any of the more reputable brands if the price was good . The one thing I would say is the more bearings and complicated your reel the greater toll $ in a kayak environment . Would buy a nice more pricey rod though

Well done if it measured over 80 cm from nose to tail v I would call it a 20 lb snapper will bring you way more pleasure, life long memory than if caught by comm fisherman

Have the same kayak and a station wagon I just put the kayak front up onto the rail over the wagon rear and slide it on and take of in the reverse . Only drive a cheap wagon so don't care about scratching the roof my be a crucial difference for you
