Re: Different life jackets on the market

My Palm Hydro adventure has been great. It's well suited to fishing. Generous pockets and attachment points. It's still going strong after nearly 8 years of regular use, but the colour has faded. Unfortunately, you probably won't know what you really want/need until you have a good number of trips u...

Re: I Hate The Wind

Of course now the wind dies off - the rain comes to play. Hitting NN anyway, wet ass be damned! I’ve been fishing about once a fortnight on average for the past 5 years and have only been rained on a handful of times. It’s not like it doesn’t rain in the Northland! I tend to pick my days, so no/lit...

Re: New Member

You might want to consider targeting groups of experienced kayak anglers in other countries, It would be appealing for them to come out as a group, fish hardcore for a week or so, then see some of the country. I know many yak fishos in the UK that would cut off a reproductive organ just to get in to...

Better to stay at home, wishing you were out there and getting psyched for the next trip than being out there wishing you were at home. I forget that lesson every once in a while!

Maybe a juvenile GW?
I was thinking that too, or maybe a hammerhead(s) bumping in to the yak. I've had that happen a couple of times.
