Re: Narrowneck Annual Kahawai Classic

Mate I think your hearing trumpet must be blocked with seaweed again. Anyway you should of come out yesterday, had the place to myself for once. Got to the yellow ball at 715 & back on the beach at 845, biggest 50cm, fishing was unreal. Enjoy your week off, oh to be semi retired  2019042...

Narrowneck Annual Kahawai Classic

Plans were made and a 615am kick off was agreed by myself, Kermit, Eugenie and Baz for the above annual comp. Things didn't start off great for me. My wife had told me to be quiet when leaving so as not too wake the boys. Unfortunately I'd left my drink bottle on the stairs which I stepped on result...

Re: Fun Fishing with Ferry's

That's the downside of NN, so many boats and with all that sea it amazes me why they feel the need to get so close. Very frustrating and you can never really relaxe as your always looking out for the next idot trying to run you down. Notwithstanding this, it's still a great place to fish and you can...

Me and Mitch went last Sunday and both came home with full bins after a couple of hours fishing.
At least you got out there. :y:

Re: Narrow Neck 03/03

Nice haul. I was out there with Mitch (Kermit), mint morning. I managed 6. I left Mitch out there still waiting to get on the board, I think he must of been sleeping again. Sliders and new penny doing the business. Tried the flea but only got 1 keeper out of 15 fish, was getting hooked up on e...

Narrowneck 10.2

Very quiet morning at NN. Launched at 630 & only saw one other yakker. Mint conditions and finished at 10 with 7 in the bin. Biggest was a real dark coloured fish going 47cm and engulfing an orange slider. Caught fish on all methods, slider, atomic sunrise softies and micro jigs although got alot of...

Re: NN 26/01 On and Off.

As it was low tide I tried something different for a change. I paddled to Taka under the cliffs towing the pictured lure. Managed 5 snapps, in the 36 - 42cm range, not big but still good fun. Then drifted to rough rock and got another 2 on the slider. Bumped into Mitch and had a big paddle back home...

Re: Narrowneck 19.1

Well done - have not fished in ages. Three young kids is a killer... Out of interest, how did you fillet and cook that shark? I tried to skin it but must of done something wrong. It looked easy on utube. I gutted it straight away then chopped the fins and tail off. It was easy to fillet, just ran t...

Narrowneck 19.1

My parents are over from the UK so I headed out at 6 to get some fresh fish for tea. Mitch was busy building his new private empire and the other members of the team were nowhere to be found. With high tide at 7 I trolled a sub sonic lure towards rough rock but only got 3 throw backs. I then parked ...

Re: Narrow Neck - Sunday 6th

Nice haul. Haven't caught a KY for ages.
Try the orange slider, they usually produce a few snapper.
If you're really unlucky you may see me, Doc, Barry and Mitch next time. :D

Re: NN 02-19 1st fish of the year!

I was late again. Good to meet you Dedant. I hope the shoulder held up ok. Doc I reckon your knocking them fish out with the 130 gram slider  therefore you are disqualified, the Mayor wins again. Kermit you need casting lessons after almost taking my head off with that softie, or was that your ...

Re: NN Saturday 29-12-18

Great morning on the water 8).

Being Mayor I really need my sleep, it's a pretty strenuous job, coupled with the fact both my boys and my wife have been sick over the holidays.

Some fresh fish will speed up their recovery.

Merry Christmas all

Narrowneck 16 Dec

With their Xmas shopping finished, I met the full crew of Kermit, Baz and Doc at the ramp for 5.15. It was a mint morning with glorious conditions amid the usual banter. The fishing was good too. I was using a new slider and soon had 7 in the back. Doc was testing out new methods and was getting hea...

Re: AHB 11 Dec

Very funny story and well written, I was laughing out loud while reading it  Importantly your ok and lucky for you it wasn't boat! I used to fish around the Navy base but it's just way to risky and got sick of being tossed around by the constant wake. You should join us for a fish at Narrow Ne...
