Re: Looking for kayak trolley recommendations

Measurements are: Folding Trolley (Frame that holds kayak): 400mm - To be honest I don't think the tyres would go the distance on sealed roads! C-Tug Trolley (cradles that kayak sits on): 490mm Wheeleez Trolley (Frame that holds kayak) 430mm Our recommendation is either the CTug or Wheeleez. The CTu...

Re: Looking for kayak trolley recommendations

Hi Jilliene
The 3 kayak trolleys we use and sell are:
NZ Kayak folding trolley
Railblaza C-Tug trolley
Wheeleez trrolley
Ranging in price from $110 to $330 depending on your budget (and what best fits your kayak).
I can measure them tomorrow to give you some idea of widths.

Re: New guy looking to learn

Hi Bigdan No doubt you will get plenty of suggestions as to what kayaks to get but as we tell our customers - what suits one person doesn't suit another so try before you buy. Budget of course also determines what you get but be wary of cheap with short warranties as plastic used in these will not h...

Re: Breathe of warmth?

That looks great - nice set-up - well done. We have a camping trailer in the pipeline and hopefully have something complete by our Summer. Still throwing ideas around at this stage. Thanks for taking the time to post the pics.

Re: Landing big fish - what do you use and why?

Personally I like a net. You can leave the fish in the water when it reaches the surface and then not having to lift it in the air prevents the hook being ripped out of mouth and loosing the fish (as DocProfit says) or causing it less harm or distress (especially if foul hooked) if releasing it. An ...

Re: WTB: Old town Predator PDL

Personally I would use a trailer for any kayak I used. We have had 2 vehicles need rust taken out from around windscreens - that saltwater sure is destructive! Janet

Yes have a couple in the carport..... however they are brand new! Boat Show special still applies until Friday offering a free Ocean Kayak Frenzy for free (worth $699.00). Good luck finding a 2nd hand one - they are very new to the market so expect no-one has reason to part with them!

Re: Prowler 13 vs Prowler 4.5 Elite

Hi Telecaster - Rob has paddled both and yes the 4.5 faster with the extra hull length. You will benefit from the rudder also for tracking in a straight line when wind blowing you around.

Re: Prowler 13 vs Prowler 4.5 Elite

Not much difference so if you can afford it go with the Ocean Kayak Trident 4.3 model. Many extra useful features such as side rod holders (flush mount), centre storage unit plus one click easy opening front hatch.
