I used to fish there a lot when I lived in Manurewa. To be honest, I don't think I have ever gotten a snapper over about 55cm from there. My best ones were in the high current areas between Karamurama and Pakihi. If I were in a comp and trying for a big snapper, I would prefer Orere point over kawa...

Kawakawa bay

Morning guys. I am looking at kawakawa bay for this weekends comp. Just curious as to whether it's a worthwhile trip to make. Iv heard it gets alot of pressure(weather permitting).
